To celebrate the centenary of its founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, in 2017 Lamborghini revealed the breathtaking LP 770-4 Centenario. This masterpiece is the latest in a line of illustrious limited editions that include the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, and Veneno. These special editions are known for amplifying Lamborghini’s most high-performance models, and the Centenario epitomizes this by elevating the Aventador to new peaks of design and power.
The Centenario, forged from carbon fiber for unmatched aerodynamics, commands attention with every curve and angle. Utilizing the prowess of the Aventador’s V12, it boosts power output to an incredible 770 horsepower, making it one of the mightiest Lamborghinis ever conceived. This beastly power coupled with an advanced aerodynamic design launches the Centenario from a standstill to 62 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds, topping out at 217 mph.
The Centenario Roadster is not just about speed, it also includes revolutionary technology for outright handling prowess. The vehicle introduces a novel rear-wheel-steering system for improved responsiveness and high-speed stability. Depending on the driving mode you choose—be it Strada for comfort, Sport for dynamic handling, or Corsa for maximum performance—the steering adapts for an ideal drive. The Centenario’s carbon-fiber interior is also home to a new infotainment system with a large 10.1-inch screen, from which it can display driving metrics, telemetry and even your record speeds. Lamborghini only produced 40 Centenarios—split evenly between 20 coupés and 20 roadsters—and all were spoken for by exclusive clientele prior to release.
The unique Centenario roadster, cloaked in a distinguished matte grey hue, found its first home in Switzerland after being acquired through Lamborghini St. Galen (Hirsch AG) on December 21st, 2017. The Centenario line is in a league of its own when it comes to rarity, with these models frequently finding themselves in the possession of a tightly-knit circle of enthusiasts.
This particular Centenario Roadster comes complete with a robust collection of paperwork, including original service quotes from Lamborghini Riyadh, proof of adherence to European Union conformity standards, past Saudi registration forms, and detailed import records. Coupled with all the original manuals and a brand new, never-used tire inflator, and with only 505 kilometers showing on the clock, this vehicle offers an extraordinary chance to become the owner of one of the rarest and most coveted Lamborghini models ever produced.
Anticipations are high as the very scarce Lamborghini Centenario Roadster will be offered on June 30 through Bonhams Cars’ prestigious Bonmont Sale. This collectible supercar is expected to captivate bidders and is forecasted to command a price exceeding $3.3 million USD during the auction festivities.
