The automotive enthusiast and YouTube star, Shmee150, recently teamed up with Hennessey to create a thrilling drag race video. The competitors? A heavily modified Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth 1200 and a sleek Ford GT.
The Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth 1200 boasts a formidable 6.2-liter supercharged V8 heart, with its power dialed up thanks to a replacement supercharger, tailor-made pulleys, high-performance spark plugs, and a recalibrated ECU. This formidable truck pumps out an immense 1,200 horsepower and shifts gears through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels.
The challenger, Ford GT, operates on a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine, delivering 647 horsepower. While it may seem understated against the Ram, the Ford GT’s strength is its feathery build, weighing in at a mere 3,054 pounds (1,385 kilograms), remarkably less than the hefty 6,443-pound (2,922-kilogram) Ram 1500 TRX.
